DIGITAL DRINKS

TUESDAY 11 AUG, 7PM

ABODA Victoria invites members and the broader music community to join us for Digital Drinks to celebrate and discuss Australian repertoire and programming that represents a diverse selection of composers.

Jodie Blackshaw and Rachel Howley will kick things off with some insights before we open the floor for discussion.

Jodie Blackshaw is fanatical about producing quality, meaningful works that offer students the opportunity to create as well as perform. She recently graduated with a PhD in Music Composition from the ANU, studying with Indigenous composer Dr. Christopher Sainsbury and American wind band icon Professor Craig Kirchhoff. Visit jodieblackshaw.com to learn more.

Rachel Howley is an Australian music educator, conductor and researcher. In addition to regularly conducting secondary school ensembles, Rachel is a conductor at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University Young Conservatorium program. She is a member of the conducting team for the Queensland Wind Orchestra, and regularly guest conducts throughout Queensland.
